This means that if a valid claim is made during this time period, we’ll pay out the cover requested for up to a maximum of £1m for all applications
• Children are automatically covered when your client chooses an HSBC Life Critical Illness or CI Plus policy.

• Cover can be purchased for those aged 17 – 69, up to a maximum age at expiry of 80
• The maximum sum assured of £1.5m is available to those up to age 430 and £1m up to age 45
• Guaranteed Insurability Option up to 50% of the sum assured at the policy start date up to a maximum of £150,000
• A total of 39 full payment conditions

• Deferred Period: 26 weeks
• Maximum claim expiry age: valid claims can continue until the end of the policy term or aged 71 if earlier
• Claim Qualifying/Assessment Criteria:
• Assessed at point and throughout the claim against the ability to undertake Own Occupation if employed, or if not, Activities of Daily Living criteria
