Your BDM will support you to register with HSBC Life

Although the registration process is simple, your local BDM is there to help with any queries. They will also help you with sales and planning opportunities and clarifying product details.

Our Admin and Distribution Support Teams Are On Hand

In addition to our BDMs, our Distribution Support and Admin teams will help you process your application and manage any queries or issues. 

We’ll check a few details with you about your business

We’ll ask you to confirm your FCA number, number of advisers and some details about your annual protection sales – as well as which portal you use: – Iress-The Exchange, UnderwriteMe, iPipeline or Webline.

Next come a few onboarding checks

After a few checks we’ll send you our Terms of Business for completion and signing.  

Register for HSBC Life Access

You’ll receive an automated email from HSBC Life with a link to set up your password and PIN. Once registered you can retrieve in-progress applications, view submitted business and track commission.

There’s lots of training on offer to help support you and your firm

We provide a variety of product and technical training for our adviser community. Our initial onboarding sessions help you get familiar with all our products features and benefits, application and underwriting processes.  We’ll show you where to access literature, sales aids and helpful calculators and tools from our website and online portal.

Start with Our Pre–Sales–Underwriting Tool

Our Pre-Sales Underwriting Tool will give you an indicative decision based on your client’s specific circumstances, including BMI, smoker status, family history and more. Get a result in under 2 minutes with the option to download an underwriting decision report.

Use your usual portal to submit the application

 For quotes and applications you can access our products via the main portals –  Iress-The Exchange, Webline, UnderwriteMe, iPipeline or Assureweb.

Manage applications via HSBC Life Access 

Find out the latest progress for submitted business using your HSBC Life Access portal, and service existing clients the same way.

Explore commission options

We offer both indemnity commission and non-indemnity commission over a four-year APE. A hybrid commission model is also available. 

Commission is paid weekly, within 30 days of becoming due 

We pay commission, subject to a minimum payment threshold, directly into the bank account you nominate. Commission considers all credits and debits applied since the previous payment.
